A Friend is a company, organization or individual that:

  •   Directly offers services to the tourism industry or enhances the cultural and/or historical significance of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area as a tour destination, including museums, attractions, lodgings, restaurants, associations, and government agencies.
  • Wishes to support the efforts of the Guild to improve the knowledge, skill and work of tour guides. 

In return for a modest annual contribution ($l50 for-profit/$l00 not-for-profit), a Friend
receives:

  • A listing (with hyperlink) to your company on the Guild’s web site
  • A listing in the Guild Membership Directory
  • One copy of the Guild Membership Directory
  • A subscription to The Capital Guide, the Guild’s monthly newsletter
  • One set of membership mailing labels (upon request)
  • The opportunity to participate in our biennial trade show, Showcase
  • Affiliation with international and national tour guide associations
  • The opportunity to network with tour guides and tour operators at our business meetings and other Guild functions
